Anna Kelles, Democratic candidate for New York’s 125th Assembly District, received the endorsement of Daphne Frias, a climate justice, disability rights, and gun violence prevention activist.

“The most pressing issues facing us today show us that we are in a time of unprecedented public health crises. Anna Kelles has been a public health scholar for many years and has committed herself to educating others with her PhD in Nutritional Epidemiology. This is why I believe she is the candidate to push NY-125 forward. She is steadfast in her commitment to ending mass incarcerations in our state, providing black and brown communities with a new beginning. Race, gender, creed, or zip code should not bar anyone from receiving the healthcare they need. I know Anna believes the same, and that’s why I am proud to work with her as she pushes to make healthcare a right in our state. Her comprehensive environmental plan shows that she values the health of our planet as much as her constituents. Anna Kelles is the best foot forward for NY-125 and I’m incredibly proud to endorse her.”  - Daphne Frias

"I'm honored to have the support of Daphne Frias,” said Kelles. “We share a commitment to activism, a trust in science, and the will to fight for progressive change.”
