Supporting Workers and Strengthening Labor Rights

I believe strong unions are essential to a healthy democracy. When workers have a real voice on the job, wages rise, workplaces are safer, and communities are more stable. However, today too much power is concentrated in the hands of large corporations and too little with the people whose labor drives our economy. Rebalancing this power starts with protecting and expanding the right to organize.

I support policies that strengthen collective bargaining and ensure workers can access local, family-sustaining jobs with strong labor standards, including prevailing wages. That means protecting workers from retaliation, ensuring fair union elections, securing first contracts through arbitration, enforcing wage and hour laws, preventing misclassification, and holding employers accountable when they violate the law.

Worker power also depends on basic economic security. I support fair scheduling, paid family and medical leave, paid sick time, and strong protections for essential and care workers. As industries grow, including clean energy, broadband, and technology, we must ensure these jobs come with full organizing rights, strong labor protections, and a real voice on the job.

I will continue to stand with workers and unions to rebalance our economy and ensure every person has access to stable, well-paying work with dignity in their own community.
